Stress and Satisfaction their Implications on an Organization

It is of utmost importance for all large and small enterprises to provide some sort of benefits beyond the salary slip. The literature review attempted to look at how job satisfaction and occupational stress are important factors that determine the way businesses especially hospitals can improve the well-being of doctors and other employees. This is crucial as it ensures that the staff in turn performs up to the standard and gives the best experience to patients and other customers.

In order to substantiate the review and bring in good quality articles that could support the various discussions within the review we looked at a number of resources including articles, journals and online search engines. To find out research articles we looked at Google Scholar which was extremely helpful as a large number of articles were available at the search engine. Another search site for articles was Emeraldinsight.com it also featured a number of related articles. The articles are used to quote examples and provide pan-country examples of different results on organizational stress and work satisfaction in differing settings.

The impact of this review is quite significant on the regional hospital DHA. This is because the review is a stepping stone for hospital managers who want to develop a strong performance enhancing culture at the hospital. The review also provides examples from around the world on how people in different organizations across the world handle stress and which factors cause stress and job satisfaction. This study will also help future researchers to pin point the factors that they would think are related to the regional settings of this hospital. This will narrow down their research to the most significant factors related to stress and work satisfaction. Overall the review gave us a flavor of how our hospital can compare itself with research findings and see which factors exist in the hospital and which do not.
